Şirin Soysal joined KPMG in 1999. In October 2010, she was seconded to KPMG International Standards Group (ISG) based in London, UK for one year to provide support to KPMG member firms for accounting, auditing and sector specific client issues. Upon completion of her secondment; she has been promoted as Head of KPMG Turkey’s Department of Professional Practice (DPP). DPP provides technical accounting guidance for KPMG clients. Currently, she is acting as a partner in the Audit Department since 2011. She is a part of Global KPMG Sustainability assurance services network to strengthen Turkey’s market position, team and deliverables and responsible for KPMG Turkey’s sustainability services. She is currently working on studies globally and in Turkey with ERTA. She currently acts as the chair to the Audit Committee Institute (ACI) of KPMG Turkey. Her wide sectoral experience includes telecommunications, energy, conglomerates, manufacturing, services, automotive and retail. In addition to Turkish accounting applications, she is also an expert on IFRS and US GAAP and SOX 404. She has also carried out a number of special assignments, including due diligence reviews, initial public reviews and agreed upon procedures.

(SMMM) She is currently ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) affiliate She continues to Master of Science (MSC) programme on Professional Accountancy in the University of London since 2016
